About the Role

This is a rare opportunity for a graduate engineer equipped with the right skill set to work within our Melbourne Fire Safety Engineering Business. Fire Engineering is a specialised field incorporating elements from several engineering disciplines, mainly Mechanical. The role will involve the development of engineered building designs and the implementation of fire protection systems and strategies to minimise the risk of fire and its effects on people, property, and the environment.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Carrying out fire engineering analysis, calculations and fire engineering modelling.

  • Assessing and evaluating fire safety solutions and innovations to ensure compliance with codes, and standards.

  • Developing fire strategies to meet the Performance Requirements and local codes.

  • Develop fire safety engineering performance solution reports.

  • Collaborating with other members of the team to provide comprehensive fire safety solutions to clients.

  • Develop calculation tools & templates.

  • Liaise directly with other members of a design team, attend design meetings/authority meetings/site visits/client functions.

Some past relevant experience would be favourable but not essential. All relevant training will be provided.
